Welcome to
Morrison Community High School
 It is with great
pleasure that I welcome everyone back to Morrison Community High School
for the 2011-2012 school year. Morrison High School has an outstanding
tradition of excellence in the classroom, on the athletic fields, and
in the arts.
In 2010 Morrison Community High School was named by U.S. News and World
Report to be one of the nation’s best high schools. The
2010-2011 school year promises to maintain the high levels of
achievement established here at Morrison High School. By offering a
rigorous curriculum that strives to engage and challenge all students
through a variety of programs including: AP courses, a fine arts
program, updated technology, vocational courses, on-line courses, and
many other programs, Morrison High School has emerged as one of the
best high schools in the state.
Morrison High School also offers a wide variety of extracurricular
programs. As members of the Big Rivers Football Conference
and the TRAC 8 conference, Mustangs Athletics annually compete for
conference championships in all offered sports. In
recent years Mustang teams have brought home numerous state trophies.
With a strong athletic program, the Mustangs look to add more state
hardware this year and in the years to come.
Morrison High School also offers an excellent fine arts
program that includes: sculpture, computer graphics, marching band,
choir, plays, and a madrigal presentation. Morrison
High School annually has students perform in the IMEA festival as well
as receiving all state recognition.
I am extremely excited about the upcoming year and look forward to the
many wonderful accomplishment I’m sure our students will
achieve over the course of this school year. As we
stampede through this year please remember that my door is always open
for students, staff, and parents.
