MCUSD #6 eLearning Information during the Mandated Closure

Our E Learning plan will be as follows:

Elementary Students (PreK-5)

  • Learning/instructional packets will be available weekly by 9:00 am Monday for pickup in the Northside and Southside gymnasiums. Materials will also be available on an online platform of the teacher’s choosing. Activities/subjects will include Math, Literacy, Physical Education, Music, and Art.
  • Students should complete their assignments throughout the week. Upon completion assignments may be submitted electronically or dropped off each week when you pick up your new learning/instructional packet. The district suggests that if you have the ability to submit electronically you do so.
  • Teachers will be available on eLearning days from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (unless otherwise noted) to answer questions, via email or learning platform, from students and/or parents.
  • Teachers are expected to be able to respond within 30 minutes during that time frame.

Secondary Students (6-12)

  • Students will receive their learning activities electronically through their chromebook. Teachers will use the learning platform they use on a daily basis to communicate with students. Weekly assignments and instructional materials will be available by 9:00 am each Monday.
  • Students should work on their assignments during the week and submit them electronically (if able to) to receive credit for completion as well as attendance. Students that do not have internet access may turn in assignments each Monday when they come in to pick up new materials.
  • Teachers will be available on eLearning days from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM (unless otherwise noted) to answer questions, via email or learning platform, from students and/or parents.
  • Teachers are expected to be able to respond within 30 minutes during that time frame.

Tech Support is available for online students by emailing tech.support@morrisonschools.org or by calling 815-772 -4071, Option 4 during normal business hours.
