Subject: You’re Invited: 2028 Dominican Republic Trip Meeting
Dear Families,
I’m excited to share an incredible opportunity for students to travel to the Dominican Republic in 2028 on an agriculture-focused trip!
Students will explore the science and systems behind the crops that shape local communities and global markets. Highlights include learning about agriculture and rural economic development, visiting coffee, banana, cacao, and pineapple farms, and participating in hands-on activities like composting, reforestation, and field workshops. Students will also explore mangroves and snorkel near Cayo Arena to better understand the connection between healthy ecosystems and farming.
We will be holding an informational meeting on October 22 at the high school. At the meeting, families will learn about the itinerary, travel dates, pricing, scholarships, and how to enroll.
