Dear Morrison Community Member,

Morrison High School’s Post-Prom Committee hopes that 2021 is off to a good start for you, your families, and your businesses across Morrison.  We recognize that the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have adversely affected families’ budgets and businesses’ bottom lines during the past year.

Morrison’s Class of 2021 students, like last year’s seniors, have experienced remote learning, the postponement of the traditional sports and activities schedule, and many other modifications to the traditional school experience.  Through the combined efforts of school administrators and staff, parents, and students, the learning process has moved forward amid the challenges of the past 10 months.

Assuming that the COVID-19 situation continues to improve this spring (or summer) and that larger-group events can move forward, Morrison High School hopes to provide students with a traditional high school Prom and Post-Prom event.  Post-Prom is presently scheduled for the night of Saturday, April 24/early morning of Sunday, April 25 at the TBK Bank Sports Complex (also known as the BettPlex) in Bettendorf, Iowa, which offers recreational opportunities in a safe, supervised environment following the Prom.

In order to defray the costs of the Post-Prom event, the Post-Prom Committee is seeking both monetary donations and in-kind donations from parents, relatives, and community members to reduce the out-of-pocket costs to students who wish to attend Post-Prom in 2021 at the BettPlex.

If you are interested in making a donation to offset the costs of the Post-Prom event, please feel welcome to reach out to Morrison Community Unit School Dist. #6 staff members Brian Bartoz and Tracy Henson for more information.

Mr. Bartoz can be reached by e-mail at Brian.Bartoz@morrisonschools.org or by phone at (815) 772-4071 x 12106.  Mrs. Henson can be reached by e-mail at Tracy.Henson@morrisonschools.org or by phone at (815) 772-2183 x 14602.

Individuals interested in donating to Post-Prom by check can make checks payable to Morrison High School; please indicate “Post-Prom Account” on the memo line of the check for recordkeeping purposes.  Checks can be sent by mail to Morrison High School, 643 Genesee Avenue, Morrison, IL, 61270.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to provide Morrison’s seniors with a fun, safe, and memorable Post-Prom experience as they conclude their high school careers.

Sincerely,

2021 Post-Prom Committee Members
