DISTRICT SUCCESS SNAPSHOT (2025–2026) The Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) has officially released the 2026 State Report Card data, and Morrison CUSD #6 has so much to celebrate! Driven by our We ARE Morrison goals, our schools are stronger today than they were just one year ago thanks to the incredible dedication of our teachers, administrators, and support staff: 🌟 All 4 Schools Positively Recognized by ISBE! 🏆 Morrison Junior High School: EARNED EXEMPLARY STATUS! MJHS completely eliminated its targeted support status and jumped into the TOP 10% OF ALL SCHOOLS IN ILLINOIS! 📈 Morrison High School: Advanced to APPROACHING EXEMPLARY status, driven by strong growth and a +4.0% surge in our graduation rate! 🏫 Northside & Southside Elementary: Both maintained COMMENDABLE status, laying a strong foundational reading momentum across our K–5 classrooms. 📊 District-Wide Growth: Academic proficiency across CUSD #6 rose by +6.0 percentage points over two years, while campus attendance reached 90%+ exemplary levels! Behind every one of these numbers is a teacher providing extra support, a student working hard, and a community standing behind its schools. Thank you to our entire Morrison CUSD #6 staff for making this growth possible!

Southside Craft Fair: Our first shipment will be arriving in time for the Southside Craft Fair on November 14, and we will have blankets available for purchase and pickup that day!

The Morrison Cross Country teams had a great showing at today’s Bureau Valley Regional Meet, finishing with 7 personal records, 2 season records, and 2 top-20 finishers! Congratulations to Kennadee Carrigan on advancing to Sectionals next Saturday in Oregon! Great job to all our athletes on a successful season, and best of luck to Kennadee at Sectionals! Go Mustangs!

Ms. Brown has worked hard to make Red Ribbon Week a success and ensure our students receive drug prevention education in a way that is meaningful and age-appropriate. We appreciate the time and effort she puts into making this week both fun and educational for our students!

Come on out and support the Morrison Cross Country Team on Saturday, October 24, as they run in Walnut, IL at Bureau Valley North Elementary School. The girls will run at 10:00 am with the boys immediately following. Go Fillies and Mustangs!

Exploring Careers and Planning for the Future!

Our sophomore class had an exciting opportunity to join 14 other area school districts for Career Day at Clinton Community College!

Students were able to hear from a career panel, which included a Morrison High School graduate who shared their experiences. They then explored careers based on their individual interests and toured local businesses and organizations throughout the community.

Some of the highlights included learning about the culinary arts program, visiting the police department, exploring physical therapy careers, touring the Clinton Show Boat, and learning about careers in veterinary medicine.

We are grateful to Clinton Community College and the local businesses and professionals who welcomed our students and helped make this experience possible!

It was a great day of hands-on learning, exploring possibilities, and helping our sophomores begin thinking about their futures beyond high school. We are excited to see where their interests and talents take them!

October Rising Stars🌟

The Morrison Community Unit School District #6 selects one student per grade level each month. A Rising Star is recognized for being helpful, kind, respectful, responsible, honest, a good role model, and for making strong effort or progress in their classes. Each honoree receives a certificate, a Morrison High School t-shirt, and a $10 gift card to Urban Eats.

Congratulations to the Morrison Fillies varsity volleyball team for taking second place in the Mendota tournament today. Great job ladies!!!

Today at the XC Conference meet the ladies finished 2nd as a team! All-Conference medals were earned by Megan Folkers placing 20th, Molly Brackemyer placing 6th, and Kenadee Carrigan placing 2nd.  The guys team finished in 6th place overall. Brian Sims set a new PR, and Bryar Kuehl set a new PR and earned an 8th place All-Conference medal.  Great job everyone and good luck next week at Regionals!
