MCUSD 6 is excited to announce that we now have a library of ebooks accessible for students through an app called Sora. Parents, guardians, MJHS students, and MHS students, please check your e-mail for a link to a document with instructions on how you and/or your student(s) can access the Sora ebook collection.

The Morrison FFA will be preparing Thanksgiving dinner boxes for students who are in need. The Thanksgiving dinner boxes will contain all the items for a Thanksgiving Dinner (including the turkey!) but will require preparation and cooking. Pick up will be the week of Thanksgiving. Once need is determined, items collected, and boxes created, specific pick-up dates, times, and location will be communicated. If you are a family who has a student in the district and are in need of a Thanksgiving Dinner box, please fill out the Google form at the link below by Tuesday, November 3rd, so that the FFA can prepare for the correct amount of items. We are saddened to report the death of a Natalie Williams was a sophomore at Morrison High School. At this time, we have no information about funeral arrangements. We ask that you keep Natalie and her family in your thoughts today. Any student who feels that they need support and someone to talk with should tell their teacher immediately so they can arrange for you to go to the Guidance Office. We encourage all students to stay in school today so that our staff can support you.

Attention Northside and Southside parents! On Wednesday, October 28, from 4-6 pm, the Morrison High School Student Council and Key Club will be having a Trunk or Treat in the Morrison High School parking lot. The trunks will be decorated and all COVID-19 guidelines will be followed. Therefore, masks are required along with proper social distancing. We hope to see your trick or treaters there!

MHS has now been notified that the Criminal Justice class should NOT report for in person WACC class as they will work remotely beginning Monday. WACC will be in contact with you with instructions for remote learning. All other WACC sessions are continuing as planned.

With fall sports nearing the end of their seasons I am sure there are numerous questions about the winter sports season. At this time there is not much new information. The IHSA will meet on Monday 10-19 to decide the guidelines for the winter season. Once they make a formal announcement I will share their decisions and guidelines.
