Students in Morrison High School’s American Government classes had the opportunity to learn about public policy at the state level during a presentation from the office of State Senator Win Stoller (37th Senate District) on Thursday, February 1. Nancy Naylor, Chief of Staff to Sen. Stoller, and Dawn Tubbs, Geneseo Office Director, presented a PowerPoint with information about the 37th Senate District and Sen. Stoller’s daily work. They also focused on how the federal government differs from state government; how a bill becomes law; how to file a witness slip; how elected officials strive to serve their constituents; and how constituents can reach out to their elected officials.
