Officials in Clinton, Iowa have not found evidence of any shooting. Reports are that several large schools in Eastern Iowa have received 911 calls reporting active shooters. Unfortunately it appears that this may have been a swatting incident.
This morning the Morrison School District was notified by the Morrison Police Department of a report of a possible active shooter in Clinton, Iowa. At this time those reports have not been confirmed. After discussion with the Morrison Police Department, we are in agreement that Morrison Schools will not go into lock down at this time. Out of an abundance of caution Morrison Police have increased their presence around the district buildings. The district will remain in close communication with the Morrison Police Department. Please note that at this time there is NO threat to the students or staff of the Morrison School District.
Northside, Southside, and the Junior High were fortunate enough to have Matt Wilhelm visit today for an anti-bullying assembly filled with some pretty awesome bike tricks. Thank you to Morrison PTO for paying for the assembly and bussing.

Tonight's High School softball game at home against Amboy will be Varsity only as Amboy has low numbers. The High School baseball games will be played at Amboy. The address I have for the field in Amboy is 1629 Lee Center Rd., Amboy, IL. Both locations have a 4:30 start time this evening.
