Due to weather conditions tonight's High School baseball and softball games have been cancelled. A make-up date has not been set yet.

Thank you to Dana McCoy for spending the morning with the 6th graders and sharing stories, photos, and artifacts from her Rotary trips! The students loved hearing about how she helped dig wells and administer polio vaccines in Africa and Costa Rica!

Tonight's baseball and softball games at Amboy are still on. The only adjustment is both teams will only play varsity games. Amboy currently does not have enough players to field both levels.

MHS Cheerleaders are holding their 5th-Annual Easter Egg Fundraiser and taking orders through April 8. Let us prepare and hide egg hunts in your yard for your kids to find Easter morning! Parents and Fans of Morrison High School Baseball. Because the high school field at the Morrison Sports Complex has not yet dried out, we have been unable to get the basic maintenance done. We are checking the field daily and the mud in the infield is about 1 inch deep still. Every step taken on the infield creates an inch deep depression. This renders the field unplayable. Because we do not have the proper materials to dry the field out we are unfortunately at the mercy of mother nature. That being said, at this time all scheduled home games will be played at the opponents field. Hopefully by our scheduled home game on March 28 we will be able to play here. We will do everything in our power to make that happen. Thank you for your patience, Josh Robbins.

Here are some photos from our recent Read Across America Day on March 2 at Southside. This day is also Dr. Seuss birthday. #PajamaDay

Congratulations to Lucy Kurtz and Stella Volkert in their Gold Medal finishes this past weekend in the Bloomington State Special Olympics Basketball contest. Way to go girls!
From all of us at Southside and Morrison CUSD #6

IT'S BACK! After a two-year hiatus, MARCH MADNESS at MHS will be held this Friday, Mar 11, 2022 starting at 6:00 pm. Come join the fun and watch the battles between students and faculty in volleyball, basketball, and of course, the famous dodgeball tournament. We will have a bake sale, raffle baskets and games for students to win prizes. Admission will be $2 for adults and $1 for students, with 100% of the proceeds from admission, bake sale and the raffle baskets going to Ukraine. We are coordinating with a student who has family in Ukraine to make sure the money gets directly to where it is needed most. Please join us to support our students and Ukraine!

Make sure to get your 2022 MHS Yearbooks ordered before it's too late.
