Given the forecasted temperatures for tomorrow morning, MCUD #6 will have a 2 hour delayed start Wednesday January 26, 2022. The early release scheduled for tomorrow is cancelled and students will be dismissed at 3:05 PM (NS will dismiss at 2:55 PM). The AM/PM PreK field trip for tomorrow will continue as planned.

Northside Elementary is currently scheduling screenings for preschool and kindergarten for the 2022-23 school year. Parents will need to be present for preschool screenings, but not for kindergarten screenings. If you would like to make an appointment for your child to be screened, or if you know of a student who needs a screening, please call the Northside office at (815) 772-2153.
The forecast for Wednesday is calling for extremely low temperatures early in the morning. In the event that the District has a 2 hour delayed start, dismissal time will be at 3:05, NOT at 1:05 as currently scheduled. This is NOT a guarantee of a late start, but the district wanted to notify parents of this possibility as soon as possible.

Jh wrestling update: practice all week. Thursday’s meet has been cancelled. We are working on rescheduling it at this time. Those able to compete will wrestle in Byron on Saturday as scheduled.
The start time for Saturday's high school boys basketball games have been adjusted. The F/S game will start at 5:00 pm with the varsity game to follow at Rock Island Alleman.

MJHS received approximately 25 half gallons of 2% milk to be donated. It has a best by date of 1-15-22. If you or someone you know could use it, please come to the junior high to pick it up. You may come anytime between 7:30am and 4:30pm.
