The 4th grade Iditarod was ran today at Southside. These students missed out last year due to COVID shutting school down, so we wanted to make sure they got to experience it. 3rd grade will run their race next Friday at 12:45. Congrats to all the teams. 1st-5th place was only separated by 15 seconds.
The MCUSD 6 Caring Closet will be doing one more round of grocery boxes before school is out for the summer. If you have a student in the district and are in need of a grocery box, please fill out the form using the link below by Wednesday, May 19. Box pick up will be Tuesday, May 25, beginning after school at 2:35 and going until 5:00 in the high school cafeteria. Please wear a face covering when entering the building to pick up your box.

The Whiteside County Health Department is interested in administering 1st dose COVID vaccinations (Pfizer) for any students and staff ages 12 and above. They will be on campus Friday, May 21st to administer this vaccination. A registration link and confirmation of time will be sent out at a later date once we know how many people are interested.
The vaccination consent form must be completed to receive the shot. For those that are under the age of 18 years old, you will need a parental consent signature on the form.
Contact your building principal via email by the end of school on Friday so that we can let the WCHD know how many vaccinations to prepare for. Thanks.
