Local State Farm agent Angie VanderVinne visited Morrison High School’s Summer Driver Ed class on Tuesday, June 25 to educate students about auto insurance. Mrs. VanderVinne explained insurance terminology; led an icebreaker quiz about insurance; reviewed a handout of insurance terms and concepts; shared stories about claims experiences; and discussed steps to take after a collision. Mrs. VanderVinne also reminded students about the availability of a good-student discount for students with a "B" average or better. Many thanks to Mrs. VanderVinne for sharing her expertise!

The program will run from June 8 through June 14. Blaine and Gavin (shown prior to their June 8 departure from the Rock Falls American Legion Post) will join students from across Illinois as they participate in a simulation of government at the local, state, and federal levels and learn about running meetings, campaigning for office, and working with others to achieve shared goals. Thank you, as well, to Morrison American Legion Post 328 for its significant financial support for the program.
