Congratulations to our 3 Spelling Bee Finalist. 3rd place Lauryn Vandermyde, Runner-up Summer Pageloff, and Champion Cindy Pelka. Cindy will represent MJHS at the Lee-Ogle-Whiteside County Spelling Bee on Feb. 19th at Dixon High School. Congratulations to all and good luck Cindy!!

Don't forget to stop out at the benefit dinner tonight for Mr. Ernst at MJHS! We are here until 7:00.

The benefit for Mr. Ernst is still on for tomorrow night from 4 PM to 7 PM at MJHS. We are now going to offer a drive-through for those of you that maybe don't want to get out of your vehicle in the cold. Mr. Ernst is planning on being there though so stop in and say hi to him. We've got enough food for about 1500 people so please come out and help support him! The meal is by donation.

Mustangs Fans:
MHS Boys Basketball game scheduled for Saturday, January 24, against Alleman has been cancelled.

Due to the forecast of dangerous wind chills, all Morrison CUSD 6 schools will be CLOSED on Friday, January 23, 2026. All practices and activities are also cancelled. Stay safe and stay warm!

MHS Girls’ Basketball will not be traveling to Orion tonight. The game has been canceled.

8th Grade Parents: There will be a parent meeting on January 28th at 5:30 pm in the high school auditorium with the high school guidance counselor, Mr. Lawson. He will be discussing course requests and the transition to high school.

He has spent his career building us up—now, it’s our turn to lift him up! Mark recently completed his treatment for lung cancer, showing the same strength and resilience he’s always taught his students. To celebrate his journey and support him with his expenses, we’re hosting a community fundraiser filled with hope, gratitude, and some incredible Mexican food. Cosmic bowling at Southside today!

Congratulations to Morrison's Varsity Scholastic Bowl team on its first-place finish in the Illinois High School Scholastic Bowl Coaches Association Turnabout Tournament at Morrison High School on Saturday, January 10. Morrison finished the tournament with a 6-1 record. Three students from Morrison's two teams--Gunner Nelson, Max North, and Logan Peavy--achieved All-Tournament status for their correct answers to tossup questions. Well done, Mustangs!

A huge thank you to Nick Pompou, the customers of Isle of Rhodes, and BP of Morrison for their incredible $1,220 donation to the Northside Milk Fund! 🥛❤️

This generosity ensures that nearly 2,500 cartons of milk will go to students who otherwise wouldn't have it with their snack. Our students and staff are so grateful for this support.

Key Club and the City of Morrison are pleased to announce that the first Golden Agers Bingo event of 2026 will be held at Odell Public Library on Thursday, January 15 at 6:30 p.m. All residents 55 and older are welcome to join us for six rounds of bingo led by Morrison HS Key Club members.
