
Reminder- 5th and 6th grade girls basketball starts today. Practice for both grades will be at the junior high. 6th grade gets done at 4:30 and 5th grade will be done at 5:00.

The high school Varsity Girls Basketball team will not be playing in Lanark on Saturday January 6th.

School Resource Officer Dan Simmons met with Morrison High School’s Driver Education classes on Monday, Dec. 18. Officer Simmons discussed common traffic violations; safe-driving practices; laws pertaining to young drivers; railroad crossing safety; and safety considerations on specific roads in the Morrison area in order to prepare students for a lifetime of safe driving.

5th-8th grade girls basketball practice will be starting soon. 7th/8th grade will be starting Jan. 2nd and 5th/6th will begin Jan. 8th. All girls that plan on playing need to have an insurance waiver filled out, participation fee paid, and an up-to-date physical on file at the school in order to practice and play.

Students from Mrs. Johnson's 7th/8th grade math classes went over to Southside yesterday to help students with their holiday shopping.

Camryn Veltrop earned All Tournament awards for her play over the course of the tournament. Great Job Camryn and all the girls for an outstanding week of basketball.



Students in Morrison High School’s Driver Education classes learned about the life-saving aspects of organ donation during a presentation from Jodey Eddy on Thursday, December 14. Many thanks to Mrs. Eddy for sharing her family’s story (and for sharing delicious cookies with students and staff)!

Congratulations to Morrison’s Varsity Scholastic Bowl team for winning all three matches during the quadrangular meet held at Ashton-Franklin Center High School on Saturday, December 9. Morrison defeated Riverdale, Ashton-Franklin Center, and Princeton on Saturday. Morrison’s team consisted of Nara Hardesty, Blaine Williams, Violet Mills, Quinn Blevins, and Caden Bielema. Well done, Morrison!
