Key Club would like to thank all of the community members and guests who purchased sandwiches, snacks, and soft drinks during the Key Club’s Sandwich Sales event with the Kiwanis Club of Morrison on Saturday, July 15 at Rt. 30 & Rt. 78/Cherry Street. Thank you to Community State Bank for the use of the gravel lot, and for access to electricity during the event. Many thanks to Kunes Auto Group of Morrison for its large lunchtime order, as well! Turnout among community members was the strongest of any Sandwich Sales event so far this year.
Morrison HS Key Club volunteers consisted of Blake Adams, Zayley Boonstra, Peyton Emerson, Danielle Fulton, Brianna Groenewold, Kenadi Hinrichsen, Elise Richards, Shawna Simpson, Sarah Stralow, and Sarah Weston.
The next Sandwich Sales event will be held on Saturday, August 12 at the corner of Rt. 30 & Rt. 78.


Morrison High School’s Key Club chapter and members of the Morrison Kiwanis Club will be selling sandwiches (ribeyes, pork chops, brats, and hot dogs) at the corner of Rt. 30 and Rt. 78/Cherry Street on Saturday, July 15 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Stop by for a tasty sandwich and a refreshing soft drink on Saturday! Prices are below:

Pork Chop Sandwich--$4.00
Brat Sandwich--$3.00
Hot Dog--$3.00
Water and pop are priced at $1.00 each, and chips are available for $.50.

Last call for Junior Tackle camp sign up! A shirt order will be going out by the end of the week, so forms and money are due June 22nd. Please drop off forms and money to the district office. Any questions, please ask Coach Vandermyde.

Those interested in signing up for the Jr. Tackle camp still can! The form and money can be dropped off at the district office. A second option is at the weight room, a coach will be there from 7:00 - 8:30 in the morning and 5:00 - 6:30 at night. If you have questions just let Coach Vandermyde know. Due date is June 22nd, to receive a shirt.

Shelby Veltrop represented Morrison High School in Saturdays Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Senior All-State All-Star game. Congratulations to Shelby and a big thank you to all who sponsored her page for the IBCA All-Star Game.❤️💙🏀




Northern Illinois Sports Hall of Fame Jim Shaw All -Star Classic was a great showcase of area talent. Morrison was well represented in the Girls game by Seniors Shelby Veltrop and Dianna Robbins. Morrison coaches, Kerry Grim & Todd Veltrop were also selected this year to coach the South Team. The South Won the Classic and Shelby Veltrop was selected as the MVP for the All-Star Classic!

Morrison High School students (l-r) Brianna Groenewold, Elise Richards, Peyton Emerson, and Jaycie Wagner were among the Key Club members who prepared sandwiches and retrieved snacks for members of the community during the Morrison Kiwanis Club’s Sandwich Sales event on Saturday, June 3 at the corner of Rt. 30 and Rt. 78. Key Club members Danielle Fulton and Sarah Weston (not pictured) were present for the event, as well.
Proceeds from the Sandwich Sales events support the Kiwanis Club’s contributions to Morrison-based groups that benefit young people, including the Odell Library, Morrison Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, Morrison Little League Baseball, and other groups.
Key Club and the Morrison Kiwanis Club thank Community State Bank for the use of the gravel lot and access to an electrical outlet. The next Sandwich Sales event will be held on Saturday, June 24.


Morrison High School students (including incoming freshmen) who are interested in assisting Morrison American Legion Post #328 with the removal of small American flags on display at veterans' gravesites at Grove Hill Cemetery are invited to join members of Post #328 on Saturday, June 3. Volunteers will meet near the cemetery's maintenance building shortly before 9:00 a.m.
Eligible students who are interested in receiving Sauk Impact Program credit for their service should check in with Mr. Jerry Brearton, Finance Officer & Sergeant-at-Arms, American Legion Post #328, upon arriving at the cemetery. Mr. Brearton will provide a list of volunteers to Mr. Brian Bartoz, Social Studies & Driver Education teacher, following the event. Mr. Bartoz will then fill out a Sauk Impact Program volunteer form for eligible participants. Brady Anderson wrapped up the season with a 5th place finish in today 100 meter State Finals. Congratulations Brady you had an excellent season.
