Many thanks to the Morrison HS students who volunteered during Resthave’s Family Fun Day on Sunday, Sept. 24. Members of Key Club, FFA, Pons, and the Sauk Impact Program played key roles during the event by setting up stations, supervising games, and packing up canopies, tables, and chairs. Members of the MHS Pons team ran a face-painting station that delighted young attendees throughout the day, as well. Congratulations to all volunteers on a job well done!

We had two students who entered the name Big Red in the contest: Hadley Vandermyde (K) and Ryan Jomant (2nd). Big Red went for a visit today to their classrooms and gave them their prizes. They each won a Morrison t-shirt, $20 in Chamber Bucks and a coupon for a free candy bar in the inside concession stand at the high school.

Tomorrow from 9:00AM until 4:00PM (weather permitting) MJHS will be joining the city wide fall garage sales. We have quite a bit of unclaimed items (shirts, sweatshirts, pants, hats, coats, blankets and a few other odds and ends, mostly junior high aged student sizes) from the lost and found, from last school year. Everything will be donation only. We ask that items be used for children and not resold for profit. The tables will be located outside, on the south side of the building. If the weather does not cooperate, we are looking at possibly having it inside on Saturday. All proceeds will go into our Student Rewards Account. Thank you!!

Many thanks to all of the Morrison HS students from Key Club and other organizations who volunteered their time during Harvest Hammer and Paint the Town on Saturday, Sept. 16. Morrison High School’s students assisted the Morrison Rotary Club with registration for Harvest Hammer; numbered squares on Main Street and painted sponsors’ logos on the pavement for Paint the Town; assisted with the Color Run; and volunteered during the Kiwanis Sandwich Sales event in downtown Morrison. Congratulations on a job well done!

IHSA Pork and Pigskins Competition
Voting begins at 8 am for the 2023 IHSA Pork and Pigskins Championship. Voting goes live at 8 am September 14. Voting closes on Friday, September 15 at 5 pm. Homecoming is just around the corner!! High school students be sure to order your homecoming and powder puff shirts by the end of the day Friday, September 15th. Each shirt is $15. Names on the back of the powder puff shirt is $5 extra. Order during lunch periods!
